Extreme Longevity in Families

Our third study focuses on locating and verifying families with many members who have reached extreme age. These families in particular may be especially important in finding genes and other factors that promote longevity. Our collaborators are: Bertrand DesJardins (University of Montreal, Montreal, QC, Canada H3C3J7) and James Vaupel (Max Plank Institute, Germany and Odense University, Odense, Denmark).

See our section "Who Are Centenarians?" for more on this topic.
