Case 3

Clinical History:

A 58 year old female with metastatic follicular thyroid cancer was treated with iodine-131 one year prior to presentation. Whole body I-131 images were obtained 3 and 7 days after administration of 5 mCi of iodine-131. Based on an iodine turn over study, the patient was treated with 400 mCi of iodine-131 and images were obtained 7 days after therapy.
