There is very little translation of the lateral wall, but it shows good
thickening during systole. By comparison, the is excessive translation
of the septum. On both the thallium and the
sestamibi raw data there is a paucity of activity
over the left chest. The attenuation data show that the left chest
has fluid density.

-
The patient had a prior left pneumonectomy. The lateral wall of the
left ventricle is fixed in position. With systole, the ventricle
translates laterally. The lateral wall is contracting, but it does
not move; consequently the septum has exaggerated motion.
-
Also of note, the right ventricle is prominent on SPECT
data. Echocardiography showed elevated pulmonary artery pressure.
