The patient was a 71 year old woman with a history of visual hallucinations who developed the inability to interpret visual cues, and to identify visual phenomena previously known to her. Images reveal severe focal shrinkage of lateral occipital regions, associated with reduced perfusion which extended into lateral parietal and temporal regions, especially on the left, at images 19 - 21.
